The results of the Drapers Sustainable Fashion Awards 2023 were revealed on 25 May at The Brewery, London, where the fashion industry came together at a glittering gala ceremony to celebrate positive change.
Judged by an independent panel of experts, this market-leading awards programme shines a spotlight on best practice within the industry, so others can learn how to change for good. The judging was underpinned by the UN-backed Sustainable Development Goals, which address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate change and environmental degradation.
Now in their 4th year, but happening for the first time in person, the Drapers Sustainable Fashion Awards shine a spotlight on the best of the best, highlighting those who are reducing the industry’s environmental impact and creating fairer working conditions across the supply chain.
The awards cover the entire spectrum of sustainable fashion retail. Categories include Best Carbon Footprint Initiative, Best Use of Technology for Good, Positive Change Award and Ones to Watch.
ACS (Advanced Clothing Solutions) has won in the Recommerce category and was praised by the panel of expert judges.
Jill Geoghegan, Drapers editor, said: “We’re three years into what’s been deemed the critical decade in the fight against climate change. Forward-thinking fashion businesses know change is not an option and are embracing their responsibilities and ability to make a difference, despite challenging trading conditions. At Drapers, we are proud to support and unite the industry, shining a spotlight on best practice, and celebrating the positive change happening in fashion retail.”
