We’ve partnered with Movopack to bring reusable packaging into our rental logistics operations, extending circularity beyond the garments we manage.
The reusable boxes are used to transport rental garments between our distribution centre and customers, replacing traditional single-use cardboard packaging. After each rental, customers return the garments in the same packaging, ready to begin another journey.
Once returned, the packaging is inspected, sanitised, and placed back into circulation for another order, supporting a more efficient and circular way of transporting garments.
Extending circularity beyond the garment
At ACS, our work focuses on extending the life of garments through rental, repair, refurbishment, resale and reuse. Our partnership with Movopack allows us to bring the same circular principles to the packaging used throughout these services.
Instead of being discarded after a single delivery, each reusable box completes multiple rental journeys. It delivers garments to customers, returns to ACS.
Customer experience has been central to the implementation. The packaging has been designed to make returns intuitive, convenient and simple, making it easy for customers to send everything back to ACS using the same packaging.
Reducing the impact of rental logistics
Across its lifecycle, Movopack reusable boxes offer significant environmental and commercial benefits compared with disposable cardboard alternatives, including:
- More than €100,000 in savings over three years
- 85% lower carbon footprint
- 98% reduction in packaging waste
- 94% water saving
- 78% energy saving
The packaging is also manufactured using 90% recycled material and is fully recyclable at the end of its operational life.
By introducing packaging that can complete multiple rental journeys, ACS is reducing waste while continuing to build the infrastructure needed to support circular fashion at scale.
This partnership represents another step towards making every stage of the rental journey more circular, from the garments we care for to the packaging used to deliver them.
