At ACS, we feel it’s important to acknowledge our talented, hard-working colleagues and celebrate their success. That’s why over the coming months we’ll be showcasing our talent in regular staff spotlights.  Today, we are shining the very first staff spotlight on Piotr Szymczykiewicz who is our Acting Head of Operations here at ACS, and therefore we stopped by the warehouse to ask him some questions.

How long have you worked at ACS?

“I have worked with ACS for c. 16 years.”

Can you describe your role? 

“From order management and warehousing, to laundry and specialist garment repair, I ensure that our entire in-house processes always run efficiently, safely and to a high standard.  I’m proud to have worked in a variety of roles throughout my time with ACS, from cleaning and Quality Control to Picking Team Leader, Operational Excellence Manager and Processing and Returns Manager – to name a few.”

What’s your favourite part of the job?

“My favourite part of the job would have to be the people I work with. They are a great bunch of individuals and together we create a fantastic team. In addition, the new challenges and changes our company is going through are a real boost for me.”

Tell us a fun fact about yourself?

“My last name is a good indicator for whether I can have one more beer in the pub. If I can no longer spell it correctly, it’s time to go home…”

If you could be a superhero, what would your superpower be?

“It may not be very original but I’m sure changing water into wine would bring a lot of happiness to this world.”
