Textile Care Operative / Sewing Machinist

A fantastic opportunity to learn about the fashion rental process. Trainees will learn to sanitise, dry clean, press and finish returned garments from numerous providers, such as ASOS, Hirestreet and Rotaro, as well as learning to reduce energy consumption and promote sustainable practice. 

This is an opportunity directed towards students looking for a summer job. Working days will be Monday to Friday. 35 hours per week.

There are no required skills or experience for this role but an interest in fashion, sustainability or anything related to the business is a bonus.


Duties include:

  • Maintain health & safety at work
  • Develop effective working relationships with colleagues
  • Remove stains on items through cleaning process
  • Clean items by dry-cleaning process
  • Deal with solvent emissions in dry-cleaning
  • Classify items and make up loads for cleaning
  • Launder items using a washing process
  • Press and finish items following laundry
  • Tumble-dry items
  • Inspect and dispatch cleaned items

Remuneration/ Pay rate:

£9.90 per hour

Warehouse Operative

An opportunity to gain experience in warehousing with a specific focus on fashion and sustainability. The role covers several aspects of the logistics within the fashion rental process. This includes: processing returns, picking and dispatching.

 

This role is targeted at students looking for a summer role. Hours will be 35 hours per week Monday-Friday.

Duties include:

·  Maintain health & safety in logistic operations

·  Moving or handling goods

·  Sort goods and materials for recycling or disposal

·  Keep work areas clean

·  Pick goods

·  Wrap and pack goods

IT Helpdesk Trainee

An opportunity to join our IT Team. Monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of an organisation. You will be installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solving technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person.

The Key Responsibilities are as follows:

  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Talk staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone
  • To help set up systems or resolve issues
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Replace parts as required-provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  • Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
  • Support the roll-out of new applications
  • Set up new users’ accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
  • Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs
  • Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time
  • Rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other IT colleagues.

Reporting directly to the Head of Information Technology you must be comfortable working in a fast paced dynamic environment, be well organised and good at multi-tasking:
